  • Title: Revitalizing the Brain The Power of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Abstract

Abstract: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is rapidly emerging as a powerful tool for improving brain health. In this presentation, Dr. Amir Hadanny, part of the pioneering research team that developed the Hyperoxic-Hypoxic Paradox™, will explore how HBOT is reshaping our understanding of the aging brain and neuroregeneration. By applying a unique protocol of HBOT, the Hyperoxic-Hypoxic Paradox™, mechanisms are activated to start repairing damaged tissue that is often seen in an aging brain. By increasing oxygen concentration in the tissues while fluctuating the oxygen level, the body’s natural processes of regeneration and rejuvenation are triggered. While doing so, we see the proliferation rate of stem cells increase, and angiogenesis will be induced. The increased blood flow supports the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to areas of tissue in the brain that are experiencing damage due to different injuries or age-related decline. As a result, healing processes can start, and damaged or deteriorating brain tissue can be repaired, helping restore cognitive function, improve memory, and slow the progression of age-related cognitive decline. Dr. Hadanny will guide attendees through four key areas where HBOT has demonstrated measurable neurological impact: Cognitive Enhancement: HBOT has been shown to improve higher-level cognitive functions, such as focus, memory, processing speed, and other cognitive parameters or domains. Stroke Recovery: In individuals recovering from stroke, even years after the initial event, this unique protocol has helped restore neurological function. With HBOT, patients have experienced measurable gains in motor ability and cognitive engagement. Post-Concussion Syndrome: For those with lingering post-concussion symptoms, particularly cases unresponsive to traditional therapies, HBOT has shown success in repairing affected brain areas. The protocol promotes cellular regeneration, helping to reduce inflammation and support long-term recovery. Age-Related Decline: In aging adults, the protocol demonstrates the potential to reverse key indicators of aging. By encouraging stem cell activity, improving blood flow, and promoting vascular and cellular repair, many patients experience greater mental agility and improved overall brain function. As clinical research grows, so does the potential for HBOT to be integrated more widely across neurology and neuroscience practices. Dr. Hadanny will conclude with a forward-looking discussion on where the science is headed, from personalized protocols to combining HBOT with cognitive training and biomarkers, and how this evolving technology could redefine preventative brain care in the future.
