Alysa Kasen received her BSc from Northern Michigan University in 2019, after which she began her graduate studies at the Van Andel Research Institute. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the lab of Dr. Michael Henderson, where she studies the role of tau fibril structure and post-translational landscape in the context of pathology seeding in model systems of Alzheimer’s disease. Alysa was recently awarded an F31 fellowship through the NIA for her work.
