Biography
Ana Júlia Melo Safe is a medical student at the Centro Universitário do Planalto Central Apparecido dos Santos (UNICEPLAC), Brazil. Her academic interests focus on psychiatry at the interface with neurology, particularly neuropsychiatric disorders and the neurobiological mechanisms underlying mental illnesses. She is especially interested in neural circuits, neuroplasticity, brain neurochemistry, psychopharmacology, and neurobiological biomarkers, as well as translational approaches in contemporary psychiatry. Ana Júlia aims to pursue an academic career in psychiatry, emphasizing research, teaching, and evidence-based clinical practice, with the goal of advancing individualized and patient-centered mental health care.
