Bhavna Malladi is a high schooler specializing in Computational Neuroscience (CNS). She has previously won awards at events such as the worldwide mission: brain hackathon, the BIOEHSC Bioengineering Competition at UC Berkeley, and currently is interning at a lab at the UCI Hospital, studying the role of apoptosis in the brain. She is also the co-leader of a CNS research group on campus, where she is using causality and transformer models to aid in automatic sleep stage classification as a tool for sleep study clinics. She strives to meaningfully contribute to the field of Neuroscience as early as possible in her career.
