Biography

Dr. Promise Tamunoipiriala Jaja is Nigerian and currently completing a PhD in Clinical Medicine (Neurosurgery) at the Department of Neurosurgery, I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Moscow (with a clinical base at the Federal Centre of Neurosurgery, Tyumen, Russia). He was formerly a Senior Registrar in the Department of Neurological Surgery (the training was interrupted for the above PhD), University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria.

He had been admitted to human physiology (cum laude Bachelors and Masters) and medical degrees. He is a Member of the West African College of Surgeons and a Resident Member of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Jaja was the winner of the 'Outstanding abstract award'; resident doctors category of the iResearch 2018, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He was a member of the Harvard Medical School's (HMS) 2018 cohort of the 'Introduction to Clinical Research Training Program-Dubai' and was a scholar in the 2021 Leaders course of the Harvard Macy Institute. He also completed the Cochrane Interactive Learning course, Systematic Reviews for Interventional Studies. He completed the joint HMS and Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health course; Fundamentals of Clinical Trials in 2013. He has since executed several roles in the conduction of high-level clinical research (cohort studies, clinical trials and systematic reviews) with publications to that effect.

He has discharged clinical responsibilities in Nigeria and the Russian Federation. He plans to continue the creation of translational evidence for improving clinical care alongside direct healthcare delivery.
